Is VPP only for very large companies?
No. Readiness depends on the quality and maturity of the safety management system, not simply headcount. A practical assessment can determine whether VPP fits your operation and what preparation would be required.
How do we know if we are ready to apply?
A structured gap assessment compares your current system and field practices with VPP expectations. The result should show what is strong, what is missing, and the level of effort needed before applying.
Does VPP certification eliminate all OSHA inspections?
No. VPP participants are exempt from OSHA programmed inspections while maintaining their status, but certification does not eliminate all potential inspections.
